Community Supported conflict

An introductory workshop on peer-to-peer Impact digestion

Sunday, May 31st

10am-4pm in Port Townsend, Wa

Would you like to know how to be useful within a conflict field?

Would you like to help liberate people you care about from the suffering that occurs when conflict arises?

Would you like to support yourself and others in shifting behaviors that keep resulting in relational ruptures, and do it in a radically non-judgmental way?

Would you like to contribute to a community culture that lovingly invites people back into connection and integrity with themselves and others, instead of cancelling them?

Would you like to support people in increasing trust in themselves and life, regardless of what other people do, or how a conflict works out?

description:

Conflicts impact more people than just those directly involved. We all know this. How many of us have felt the pain and discomfort of being stuck in the middle of a rupture within our family, workplace or friend groups? In this 6-hour introduction to Community Supported Conflict, you’ll learn concepts and tools that can help transform negative impacts into an opportunity for liberation, learning and deeper connection and trust. While the workshop focuses on supporting others with impacts, all the tools that will be shared can be applied to your own life and conflicts as well.

In this workshop we’ll explore…

  • Releasing the goal of “neutrality” and embracing radical care for everyone involved in a conflict field.

  • The vital difference between offering someone empathy and reinforcing painful, judgmental and often inaccurate narratives about what others did.

  • Supporting people in connecting to their own feelings and needs so they can accompany themselves with compassion, agency and authenticity.

  • Supporting people in releasing the other person as the sole strategy for meeting their needs.

  • Helping people shift from making assumptions about someone else’s intentions, to finding relaxed curiosity and openness to the other person’s experience.

  • Holding and sharing a systemic lens so that people can see how power and privilege differences may be contributing to rupture.

Supporting my sustainability

I long to live in a world where all humans can participate in enriching offerings and spaces, regardless of their ability to offer money. And because we all live within the constraints of capitalism, I have material needs that can’t be met without money. I am committed to making this class available to anyone who feels committed to doing this sacred work of tending conflict and supporting others’ liberation within community. If the requested amount below is possible for you, even if it requires you to make some strategic financial decisions to make it a manageable stretch, please offer the full amount, so that my own material needs can be met. If the suggested amount would create actual financial hardship for you, please email me at janne@themotherloom.com so we can find a solution that works for both of us.

Registration process:

1. Fill out this form

2. Send a monetary contribution

The requested contribution for this workshop is $150. If you are able and willing to offer more, please do so! This makes the stretch of offering space to those with less access to resources more manageable for me. Please send your contribution via any of the following:

Venmo: @Janne-Campbell

Paypal: @JanneCampbell

Zell: janne@travelingspectacular.com

Once you have registered and sent your contribution, you’ll be added to the class list and receive class details. **If you want to offer less than the requested amount of $150, please email me so we can be in dialogue about that prior to making a contribution of a different amount**
